Puppy Love in St. Pete
One of the things I love about St. Petersburg, Florida is that it is such a dog friendly place to live. The little hunk of love pictured above is Asher. He is our Real-Estate Mascot and man is he one lucky pooch! From pet-friendly hotels, full-service pet spa’s, dog beaches and pet friendly restaurants, Asher never has to be left out. For all of you dog-lovers I have created a little cheat sheet of places you can enjoy with your furry family. - Bella Brava
204 Beach Drive
One of the only downtown restaurants that have a full patio completely open to customers’ dog companions. Bella Brava, an Italian and seafood restaurant, prides themselves on being dog friendly. Servers bring out water bowls and have dog bones with the Bella Brava logo available. Abbie Grant, manager for 5 years, says the staff is full of dog lovers and all have fur babies of their own.
- The Avenue

“We want people to bring their families, and sometimes that includes dogs. Dogs are family too,” owner Stephen Schrutt says about the Avenue being dog friendly. Both the front and back patios at the Avenue are available for your furry family members! Mostly American food, the Avenue serves burgers, wings, and sandwiches.
- The Chattaway
358 22nd Ave S
Family owned and operated for more than 90 years, The Chattaway is mostly an outdoor restaurant and very dog friendly. The menu features options from burgers to chili, with many daily specials. ‘Lady Chattaway,’ the owner, and her daughter, Winona, say that they really try to raise awareness to rescue dogs. Heads up: The Chattaway is cash only, but don’t stress, there is an ATM inside if you forget!
- The Kitchen
26 1st Avenue North
The Kitchen welcomes all customers and their furry family members. Yappy Hour from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. includes a separate dog friendly menu, featuring items like veal bones, ground beef, and rice, provides a great place for dogs and their owners! Servers will also bring water and treats are available.
- Three Birds Tavern
1492 Fourth St. N
Servers at Three Birds Tavern bring out water bowls for doggy customers and have treats available. Even better, owners can get a plain chicken breast for only $4 for their dog!
10 Beach Dr NE
Dog friendly since they first opened, Ceviche allows dogs at all of their outside tables on the sidewalk. Known for their Tapas Tuesday special featuring $4 tapas and $4 sangria, Ceviche will provide water for your dog and sometimes even treats.
- Lucky Dill Deli
277 Central Avenue
With breakfast served until 11 a.m. and featuring deli sandwiches, wraps, burgers and Cubans, Lucky Dill’s outside seating is completely dog friendly. Owner Ken O’Bannon says he noticed how many people in St. Pete had dogs so he got a Dog Dining license ensuring Lucky Dill customers could bring their dogs.
- 400 Beach

“400 Beach loves our canine friends,” Scott Long, manager, says. With several outside tables available for owners and their pups, 400 Beach also provides water bowls for every dog.
- Parkshore Grill

Parkshore Grill has a designated Doggy Dining area and servers will welcome dogs with water bowls.
